I wasn’t previously big on Iron Man (my wealthy hero comic hero of choice is Batman) but this movie is going to be, pardon the Internet-lingo, EPIC. 2008 is going to be so good for comic book geeks

Thank you all
I appreciate the kind birthday wishes and gestures. They all meant a lot, thanks! Usually this one day each year means some due reflection on how everything is going so far. A progress report, if you will. I’m pretty happy with this last year of my life. Just overall excellent. And I’m so psyched about topping it by this time next year.

Mobile commenting →
We ran into some small bugs with the reply-by-email feature this week. Most of it is fixed, but please bear with us as we knock out any issues that are still around.
Disqus is working on a couple things to make mobile commenting more powerful. We’re working on a couple ideas that should see the light of day soon. Does anyone out there have anything they’d like to throw on the wishlist?

Words? Just words?
I’ve been thinking a bit about the complaints of Barack Obama’s substance. I hear this a lot. I’m not sure if it’s just parroted rhetoric, but a lot of people seem to think Obama has little beyond the “hope” he’s so popular for. I think it is true that most people do not know what Barack Obama has done. They don’t know what he plans to do. Here are...

We like February →
February is one of my favorite months. Here in California, February is pretty much in between the sporadically rainy Winter and the consistently sneezy Spring. Incidentally, both of us Disqus founders were born in February as well.
So it saddens me to realize that we haven’t written a Disqus blog update this month yet. Incidentally, this month has some of the biggest things going on for Disqus,...

I won’t rag on it too much. Anything that raises positive awareness for noble causes is good. But, surely, they could have done better.

Dictionary
I hate it when I look up a word and the definition is in the form:Word: Of relating to _______ where the blank is another tense or conjugation of Word. If I knew what that word meant, I wouldn’t have looked it up, right? Just give me the damn definition without making me click through to another page.
